Life in Division 1 got off to a difficult start as a disappointing second half performance helped Vamos secure an opening day win.

With a few players unavailable and some players carrying injuries Vamos took advantage of their better developed chemistry and match fitness and deserved their win. Overall it was a game of few chances, but Vamos took advantage of Celtic mistakes (poor marking, indecisive defensive clearances) and also scored a couple of very good goals.

Positives were MoM Jiung who was excellent at left back, and debutant Hugo who battled hard and showed some great touches on the ball. Special mention for Ademir who stepped in to goal and saved another penalty.

Division 1 is a step up, and if Celtic can get all their players available we are capable of competing. Onward and upwards.
